OUR CURRENT RELEASE
William Harrison is a family-owned estate and winery producing
high quality grapes for limited production ultra-premium Napa
Valley wines. The William Harrison Estate Wines come exclusively
from our 10-acre estate in Rutherford, CA and are comprised of
the five Bordeaux "noble" grape variatals: Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.
Because of our limited acreage, our estate wine production
usually varies from 1200 to 2200 cases, depending upon the year.
THIS MONTH (November 2008): Well, harvest came to a quick
and early end this year. The crop was light, due to a
prolonged, Springtime frost that cost many vineyards in the
valley a great deal of their fruit. Our own crop was down
about 30% --which wasn't bad in comparison to what some growers
lost. As is often the case, the reduced yield resulted in
excellent quality grapes. We just wish there was more of
them!
We've released to 2005 wines and they're quite good.
The 2005 harvest was a good one. It seems
impossible--but if anything, the fruit was even better than the
2004 vintage. Take our word for it--these wines will
not last long!
For the first time in years, we have increased the amount of
Rutherford Red and it hopefully will not run out quite as
quickly as it normally does. On the other hand, the popularity
of this wine has skyrocketed, so it still may not last, even
with the increased production. The 2004 Rutherford Red
sold out in only a few months, and that was with a two-bottle

2005 ESTATE RUTHERFORD RED
|

We are pleased to release our award-winning 2005 Estate Rutherford Red Bordeaux Blend. Using
the best wines of the vintage, the blend is comprised of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon,
4% Cabernet Franc, 16% Petit Verdot
and 8% Malbec. Possessing vivid dark-fruit aromas: hints of black cherry and huckleberry mingle with
nuances of cassis. Exceptionally concentrated, its rich mouth-filling style finishes on long-lasting and
balanced flavors. This beautiful blend will continue to develop and pleasure for many years to come.

CELLAR NOTES:
The 2005 Rutherford Red varietals were fermented in small stainless steel tanks after a
2-day cold soak. Twice-a-day pump-overs were applied and as fermentation temperatures reached 90 degrees more intensive pump-overs were used to extract the
deep color and rich flavors from the grapes. Careful pressing techniques allowed us to take each variatal and separate
it into three distinctly different lots. These lots were evaluated, and the best lots of each variatal were used in the
resulting blend.

2005 ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
|
|
A big, bold, intensely flavored wine, our 2005 Estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon shows why Napa
cabernet is so sought after. Tiers of rich currant and black cherry mix with the cedar, tobacco and
earth notes. In the mouth, dark-red fruit flavors mix with leather and licorice, while the toasty oak
finish lingers on the palate with moderate tannins. (only
450 cases produced)
CELLAR NOTES:
The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in small stainless steel tanks after a
2-day cold soak. Twice-a-
day pump-overs were applied and as fermentation temperatures reached 90 degrees more intensive
pump-overs were used to extract the deep color and rich flavors from the grapes. Careful pressing
techniques allowed us to take each Cabernet block and separate it into three distinctly different lots.
These lots were evaluated, and the best lots of each variatal were used in the resulting blend.

2005 ESTATE CABERNET FRANC
|
|
A wonderfully rich, intense and balanced Cabernet Franc. Our 2005 Estate-grown Cabernet Franc
was picked late in the season to fully develop flavor. In the mouth, tightly focused currant, black
cherry, anise and cedar linger nicely, plus touches of blueberry, coffee and spice. The long finish
ends on moderate tannins. An exceptional food wine. (only
224 cases produced)

2007 CHARDONNAY
|
|
From vineyards deep in the Carneros Appellation, we find fruit for this handcrafted Chardonnay.
Aged in French oak, creamy layers of smoky fig and pineapple part to reveal complex flavors of
apricot and honeysuckle with a light dash of toasty oak. This wine finishes with intensity,
concentration and a pretty floral highlight. (240 cases produced)
CELLAR NOTES:
The 2007 Chardonnay was barrel fermented over the course of three months
and aged in French oak for twelve months; 80% malo-lactic
fermentation occurred, with Sur-lie aging to create complex flavors.

2007 PINOT NOIR
Our 2007 Pinot Noir
was grown along the Sonoma Coast, in the hills west of the
famous Petaluma Adobe built built in the early 1800's by General
Mariano G. Vallejo. Close enough to the sea for cool,
oceanic breezes, yet inland enough for mild warmth from the sun,
this area is ideal for growing Pinot Noir grapes. Delicate
and supple, this wine is rich with the balanced flavors of plum,
strawberry and new French oak.
